Boris Leonidovich Bochkarev (1922-2006).Russian Painter. Was born in Dzerzhinsk, Gorky region. He studied at the Gorky art school (1947-1952). Participant of major art exhibitions since 1953. Took part in regional ("Big Volga",1964, 1970, 1974, 1980, 1981, 1998, 2003) and Republican exhibitions (Moscow, 1957,1960). Was the head of the Art Studio of Sormovo Palace of Culture (1953-1989). Since 1960 was a member of the Union of artists. Bochkarev’s personal exhibition was held in Gorky (1981). Artist’s works are presented in the Nizhny Novgorod Museum of fine arts; in some regional public museums, at private collections in Russia and abroad.
