Prominent Chuvashi artist. He was born in the village Shorchekasy of the Cheboksarsky District. He studied at the Cheboksary art school (1944-1948), at the Kiev art Institute (1948-1949), at the graphic art faculty of the Chuvashi pedagogical Institute named after I. Yakovlev (1964-1969). A member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1950. Merited artist of the Chuvashia (1978).
