Varlamov Aleksey Grigorievich (1920-2000)

Well-known Russian artist. Active in Gorky - Nizhny Novgorod.He studied at the Gorky art school under A. V. Samsonov and L. A. Khnygina (1935-1940). Participant of the WWII. Took part in exhibitions since 1946. A member of Artists’ Union of Russia since 1949. Honored artist of the RSFSR (1969). Had personal exhibitions in Gorky (1970), Nizhny Novgorod (1991), taught at the Gorky art school (1945-1947; 1979-1984). People's Artist Of Russia since 2000.
