Dibrov Victor Semenovich (1930-2011)  Member of the Union of Artists of Russia. 15 years old Dibrov was lucky enough to get some professional training at the Repin’s Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture which during the Second World War was evacuated from Leningrad to Samarkand (Uzbekistan) (1946). On return of the Institute in Leningrad, Dibrov, not being able to move to Leningrad, stayed in Uzbekistan and continued his studies at the design faculty of the Theatre Institute in Tashkent, which he graduated from in 1951. He served in the military, and after demobilization worked in the Stavropol branch of the State Art Foundation. In 1958 he completed the course of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of the USSR under the tutorship of G. G. Nissky. Dibrov was a well-known master of genre works and landscape. He has also created architectural designs for some important monuments and murals (statues of fallen soldiers, some public building facades, mosaic panels, etc.). He was awarded the medal "For services to the Stavropol region".
