"The Annunciation Cathedral", 1979, Oil on Board  70x50 cm, signed in Russian in the lower right corrner, it also has inscriptions  in Russian and English verso.

The painting is by Victor Fedorovich Letyanin (1921-2009). Russian Painter who worked in a bold imopressionist manner. Merited Artist of Russia. In 1939 he entered the art school in Gorky, where he studied until the war broke out. After returning from battlefiield Letyanin continued with his studies and graduated from the Leningrad I. Repin Arts Institute, where he was taught by R.Frents, a prominent battle-painter. Letyanin is faithful to the traditions of K.Korovin, M.Vrubel, V.Serov. Participant of All-Union exhibitions. His pictures have been acquired by art museums and galleries in Russia and private collections in Italy and Germany.
