Boris Anatolievich Sholokhov (1919-2003), Russian artrist, master of portrait and large genre paintings. Studied at the Leningrad Academy of Fine Arts. A student of outstanding masters of Russian painting – D. Korin, V. Yakovlev, and A. Gritsay. Graduated from Surikov Moscow Art Institute. Professor of the Moscow Polygraphic Institute.Sholokhov’s works are presented in the State Museum of the Revolution in Moscow, the Art Collection of Moscow, the collection of Surikov Art Institute, the Museum of Children Camp Artek in Crimea, and in the state art museums of Penza, Borisoglebsk, and Livadia (Crimea).

  • A charming and lively study of two singing schoolgirls for the large topic painting "The School's Choir"  before creating a large canvas the artist made lively sketches from singing children at the local school. These two girls were supposed to become the center of composition so were painted in a more detailed manner while retaining at the same the a liveliness and vivacity.  The painting is gracefully framed, size in frame 41x32 cm and comes with the certificate of autrhenticity from Leonid Shishkin Gallery.
