Bykov Aleksandr Petrovich (1912-1997)
Prominent Russian landscape artist. From 1932 he studied with the famous artist Konstantin Yuon. He graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art School in memory of 1905 (1934-1938) where Nikolai Krymov and George Ryazhsky were his tutors. Participant of the WWII. In 1945 he resumed studying with Yuon. In 1946 he joined the Moscow City Committee of artists, in 1950 – the Moscow Association of Artists. A participant of most of the all-Union and many Moscow art exhibitions since 1947. He also had a personal exhibition in Moscow in 1947. A member of Artists’ Union of the USSR since 1957. Bykov’s works are presented at the state and private collections in Russia and abroad.
