The work is by Genndy Vassilievich Filatov (1929-1979), Russian artist, a representative of the Samara school of painting. He studied at the Theatre Design Department of the Penza art school named after K. A. Savitsky. He worked with Valentin Purygin, Ivan Komissarov, Nikolay Shein on the series of paintings devoted to the heroic daily labour of the country (1950s-1960s). A member of the Union of Artists since 1970. Filatov is a master of landscape. One of his most famous paintings is "The Zhiguli Sea". His works are presented at the private collections in Russia and abroad.
